MEASURING DIODES
1.- Connect the red testing point in the jack signaled "Input" and
the black testing point in the jack signaled "COM".
2.- Set the dial to
3.- Connect the red testing point to the anode and the black
testing point to the cathode.
4.- If the diode has a good function, 0.6V will display in the screen
( for silice diode ) and 0.3V for germanium diode. If you
change the testing points the meter will appear 1
MEASURING TRANSISTORS -hFE-
1.- Connect the red testing point in the jack signaled "Input" and
the black testing point in the jack signaled "COM".
2.- Set the dial to hfE setting.
3.- Determine if the transistor is NPN or PNP and localize the
emitter, base, and collector.
4.- The multimeter will show the approximate hFE value with
base current condition of 10 uA and VCE 2.8 V.
