8.4 Data processing

8.4.1 Network
The network of the energy measurement box consists of two devices:
Device
Modular control system Festo CPX-E-CEC
Power analyzer Siemens SENTRON PAC 3220
Subject to change
Network devices of the energy measurement box
The integrated 2-port switch of the power analyzer connects the control system with the power analyzer and
provides the option of connecting to a network or directly to a PC.
If there are several pre-installed energy measurement boxes in one network then the IP addresses differ.
8.4.2 Modular control system CPX-E-CEC
The modular control system CPX-E-CEC serves as a node for determining, processing and communicating
measurement values in the measurement system.
On delivery, the CPX-E-CEC uses a Modbus/TCP connection via Ethernet to the power analyzer as well as six
IO link connections to the three pressure sensors and the three flow sensors.
A server for energy monitoring can be connected via the Ethernet interface. Communication takes place via
OPC UA.
Further information about the interfaces can be found in the manual of the CPX-E-CEC.
8.4.3 Control program
The controller is programmed using the freely available programming software CODESYS.
On delivery, a control program is installed which provides options for use in energy monitoring applications,
e.g. aggregation of the sensor values as well as OPC UA server functionalities.
