OPERATION
Model SBS-MR-1600/6 | SBS-MR-1600/1T
1.
Before use check state of the device
2.
Position beaker (or another laboratory vessel) in the
middle of the work surface.
3.
Pour liquid into the vessel. Insert small magnetic rod
(agitator) into the vessel with liquid.
4.
Insert temperature sensor into the liquid (min. 2/3 of
the sensor length should be submerged) by inserting
it into a hole in the support. Adjust immersion height
by changing the position of the attainment on the
support.
5.
Connect the device to a power source.
6.
Use On/Off switch (7) to turn on; the switch will
become illuminated.
7.
„nHc" will appear on the temperature display and
after a while the current sensor temperature reading
will be displayed.
8.
To set the heating temperature:
Press the „SET" (4) button, the temperature value will
begin flashing.
Use  and  (2; 3) buttons to set the temperature.
ATTENTION: To change the temperature value up or
down quickly press and hold the appropriate button.
Press the „SET" (4) button again to confirm and
return to operation mode.
The display will show the current temperature of the
liquid with the submerged sensor.
The red diode on the bottom of the display will come
on when heating is active.
Attention: The work surface heats up considerably!

9.
Use knob (8) to adjust the agitator rotational speed.
The rotational speed can only be adjusted once the
timer (6) is set to „ON" or countdown mode. The
agitator will start moving.
10.
The device features a PID controller to adjust the
heating temperature. To enter controller parameter
settings follow these steps:
press and hold the „SET" (4) button for 3s. Ignore the
„E00" message on the display.
Press the „SET" button twice, until a „P" appears on
the screen with a numerical value. The PID controller
proportional term can be set in the 0.0 to 9.9 range.
P=0" is the threshold value and signifies no heating,
P≠0 means that the liquid heating process is active.
The output signal strength increases as the value of P
increases, i.e. the liquid reaches the set temperature
faster and the adjustment time decreases, and the
maximum overshoot value increases.
press the „SET" button to confirm the setting.
Additionally the user has an option to select the T
adjustment time. In order to enter the adjustment
time settings, proceed analogously to proportional
term setting, however once the „E00" message
appears, press the „SET" button three times. „T"
followed by a numerical value will appear on the
display. The adjustment time can be set in the 1 – 99
range, with recommended settings between 20 and
60s.
To simplify use, controller parameters such as
integration and differentiation times are hidden from
the user and set to I=180 and D=45 by default.
11.
Measurement error corrections If the user is certain
that an incorrect temperature is shown on the
display, it is possible to correct the reading in the
– 4.9 to 4.9°C range.
To activate this option, press and hold the „SET"
button for 3s.:E00" will appear on the display
(threshold value – negligible parameter).Press the
„SET" button again, and then change the parameter
using the  and  buttons. Press the „SET" button
to confirm changes.
12.
The device includes a timer. If it is set to „0" then
the device will heat up the liquid, but the agitation
function will not be active. Set the knob to „ON"
for the device to operate without a time limit. The
device may be operated in a time restricted mode
with a maximum time setting of 120 min. The device
switches off by itself once the set time has elapsed.
For the SBS-MR-1600/6 model, the parameters described
in points 7 – 11 can be set for each work station in use
at the given time (6 in total). The device has one master
On/Off switch and one timer for all work stations. It is not
possible to set separate operation time values for given
work stations.
Model SBS-MR-1600/1T PRO
2/3/ of
the sensor length should be submerged) by inserting
it into a hole in the support. Adjust immersion height
by changing the position of the attainment on the
support.
5.
Connect the device to a power source. Activate using
the master On/Off switch on the side of the device.
6.
Use  and  (3 ; 6 ; 9) buttons to set the required
rotational speed values, agitator operation time
and heating temperature. Additionally the „<AT"
(11) button is used to switch between positions in
the decimal numerical temperature value format.
Attention: To change the temperature value up or
down quickly press and hold the appropriate button.
The selected value will be automatically stored
approx. 2 s after the button is released.
Attention: The work surface heats up considerably!
7.
Press the „Stirrer On/Off" (10) button, agitation and
heating will commence and the timer will begin
counting down. During heating element activation
the „OUT" (7) diode will be illuminated, and when
the temperature is above the set temperature or the
liquid is heated up to the required temperature the
„OFF" (4) diode will be on.
8.
Once the time set by the user elapses, the timer alarm
will sound, heating will switch off and the agitator will
stop. The user may stop the device by pressing the
„Stirrer On/Off" (10) button.
9.
To use the device without a time limit set 0000 as the
time, Press the „Stirrer On/Off" button to switch off
the device.
10.
The device features a PID controller to adjust the
heating temperature. The user may set parameters
shown in the table below. These parameters should
only be set by a person with appropriate knowledge
and qualifications.
To enter the settings press and hold the „SET" button
for 3s. Use  and , buttons to set the values, use
the „SET" button to go to the next value. To confirm
the selected parameter values press and hold the
„SET" button for approx. 3s.

Rev. 06.03.2018
Values will appear on the temperature display in
the same order as in the table below. The „ALM"

USE GUIDELINES
Do not change the rotational speed violently, set it
slowly by turning the knob. By setting the highest
agitator speed tight at the outset might result in
vibrations of the vessel with the liquid or even of the
entire device.
Do not activate heating under an empty vessel.
To earth the housing, connect the earthing cable to
a bolt located at the back of the device marked with
the earth symbol.
Monitor the liquid quantity in vessels. The liquid may
evaporate.
Rev. 06.03.2018
If the heating temperature is set to a value below
ambient temperature the device will not heat up.
The PID controller should only be configured
by
person
with
appropriate
knowledge
qualifications. Configuration by a person with
insufficient knowledge may result in faulty operation
of the device.
Always switch the device off after use.
A user with appropriate knowledge and qualifications
may replace the fuses at the back of the device
housing. Change the fuse for an identical model with
the same parameters.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
Shaking, crashing and turning upside down of the device
should be prevented when transporting it. Store it in
a properly ventilated location with dry air and without any
corrosive gas.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the device before cleaning it.
Use cleaner without corrosive substances to clean
surface.
Dry all parts well after cleaning before the device is
used again.
Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
Never spray the device with water jets.
