Maintenance booklet for HD/HDS units
Dear Customer,
You have purchased a high-quality unit which must be serviced regularly by our customer service to
ensure reliable function and operation.
Would you therefore please acknowledge in writing that you wish your unit to be serviced
professionally (see back page), thereby retaining your right to claim under the warranty.
You may also conclude a maintenance agreement with your dealer. Please seek advice.
Following the delivery inspection, send the enclosed warranty card to the relevant Kärcher branch in
your country, thereby retaining your right to claim under the warranty.

Required maintenance work
After the first 20 operating hours
Change motor oil.
Every 125 operating hours or half-yearly
Change motor oil.
Clean air filter.
Check and adjust motor speed.
Check exhaust system.
Check battery status, acid density and level.
Clean spark chamber or spark arrester.
Test run and visual inspection.
Additionally every 250 operating hours or annually
Check tyre pressure.
Check swivel castor, parking brake and rubber buffer.
Check that pulsation damper is functional.
Check that safety valve is functional.
Check water level sensor for dirt and check
that it is functional.
Clean water filter.
Check that fuel pump and fuel solenoid valve are functional. –
Check continuous-flow heater fan for dirt and check
that it is functional.
Clean ignition electrodes and check setting.
Check hot-water tank for leaks and dirt.
Check continuous-flow heater for dirt and check that setting
is correct. If required, clean heating coil.
Check inside of continuous-flow heater for deposits.
If required, descale heating coil.
