3.4 Cross-Arm Strap (8183)

The Cross-Arm Strap Anchorage Connector conveniently wraps around I-beams and other
structures to form a secure attachment point for lanyards and other connecting devices.
Warnings and Limitations
• For use by ONE person only. Maximum capacity is 400 lbs. (181.4kg), including tools. —
DO NOT EXCEED THIS WEIGHT.
• Use only locking carabiners, locking snap hooks or other Miller approved connectors or
connecting devices to attach to this equipment.
• The structure that this product is attached to must be capable of supporting a 5,000 lb.
(22.2kN) static load or provide a 2:1 safety factor in the direction of pull.
Installation
1. Wrap the cross-arm strap around the approved anchorage passing the 2" (50mm) D-ring
through the 3" (76mm) D-ring in a choking manner.
WARNING: Connect to the 2" (50mm) D-ring only.
Removal: To remove the device, simply reverse the installation procedure.
