Pic . 1: Type label pre-heating furnace
The type label is on the right housing side and
contains the following information:
• Manufacturer, address of manufacturer
• Type
• Serial number (S/N)
• Voltage and frequency
• Power consumption
• Disposal information
• CE-certification
• Year and country of manufacture

There is a type label on the optionally available
vapour extractor, catalyst and/or additional ventila-
tor respectively that looks similar to the one
attached to the pre-heating furnace and that shows
information applicable to the option.
4.2 Assembly description
Heating chamber
The heating chamber consists of a high-quality
ceramic, which is evenly heated from four sides with
heating coils.
In the FINOFORNO S the heating coils are mounted
on heating muffles. In the FINOFORNO L they are
integrated into the ceramic plates.
The heating coils are covered with chamotte. A
ceramic insert protects the heating muffle against
contamination.
Heat insulation
The heating chamber is from all sides covered with a
ceramic insulating layer. In the insulation there is an
opening leading to the back side of the unit for the
exhaust of vapours.
Furnace door
The furnace door has a ceramic door stone for heat
insulation. In the FINOFORNO S the door swings
open towards the front. In the FINOFORNO L the
door slides to the left side. The furnace door is equip-
ped with a safety switch that interrupts the heating
current if the door is opened.
Controller
The FINOFORNO controller ensures that the desired
set-temperature is reached in the shortest possible
time. The set-temperature is maintained with an
accuracy of 3 °C. A sensor with PtRh-Pt-thermo
element inside the heating chamber records the
chamber temperature close to the objects to be
sintered. A thermo element breaking cut-out
prevents the furnace from overheating in case of
a sensor defect.
The start time of operation is automatically calcu -
lated so that the heating process is completed at
the desired time and the sintered objects ready for
casting can be removed. Operation parameters and
heating programs are saved in a permanent memory
and remain saved even in case of a powercut.
Furnace housing
The light grey (RAL 7035) furnace housing is made of
steel plate and is inside and outside resin-coated.
