7.8 Temperatur stepping
Casting moulds with different final temperatures can
be heated in the furnace successively (final tempe-
rature A and higher final temperature B).
NOTE!
If a program should only consist of one step (e.g. for
„Shock" heating) make absolutely sure that all values
in further steps are set to "0"!
1. Compile heating program where final
temperature A is reached in the last step
(» section Programming).
2. Remove casting moulds with final temperature A
from the heating chamber after the heating
program has terminated.
3. Keep Prg key pressed.
Now the programming mode is activated.
4. Increase the temperature of the last step to
temperature B with the Plus key.
5. Keep Prg key pressed to quit the programming
mode. The heating program repeats the last step
with the new temperature B.
6. After heating program is finished remove
casting moulds with final temperature B from
the heating chamber.
7.9 Switch off
• To switch off the furnace press the main switch.
The mains control light in the main switch is off.
CAUTION! Risk of burns due to residual
!
heat of the pre-heating furnace!
Even if the furnace is switched off the heating cham-
ber may still have a considerable residual heat.
There is the risk of burns at the walls of the heating
chamber and at the furnace door. Therefore:
• Before working on the furnace make sure that it
has cooled sufficiently. The furnace needs at
least 4 hours to cool from maximum temperature
to room temperature.
8. Malfunctions
In the following section possible causes for
malfunctions and processes for their repair are
described. In case that malfunctions cannot be
eliminated referring to the following information
please contact the manufacturer (» Service adress,
last page).

8.1 Safety
Personell
• Some of the here described processes for
troubleshooting may, if not marked differently,
be performed by the operator.
• Work on the electrical system may exclusively
be performed by certified electricians.
• Some repairs may only be done by the service
department of FINO. In the description of
individual malfunctions these are separately
indicated.
Personal protective equipment
NOTE!
In the warning notes of this section protective
equipment that has to be worn for specific work is
specifically indicated.
Electrical system
DANGER! Risk of fatal injury from
electrical current!
On contact with live parts there is the risk fatal injury.
Therefore:
• Before any work switch off the mains supply and
pull the mains plug.
The furnace needs at
least 12 hours to cool from maximum temperature
to room temperature.
