Salon™ Spa Bath
Electrical Connections
Risk of electric shock. Connect only to a dedicated circuit protected by a GFCI.
When using electrical products, basic precautions should always be followed:
•
Always follow local building and electrical codes.
•
Grounding is required. The unit should be installed and grounded by a qualified electrician.
Two separate GFCI protected circuits are required.
A separate, dedicated 240VAC, 20 Amp GFCI circuit is required for the heater and pump/motor.
A separate, dedicated 120VAC, 15 Amp GFCI circuit is required for the blower.
Risk of component overheat. Do not use electric extension cord to power this unit.
Operating the motor/pump without enough water in the bathtub can cause leaking and permanent damage.
At initial startup, the 8 button electronic control system enters an automatic self diagnostic program for 15-20
seconds. During the diagnostic program, the system will not accept user commands.
Blower , Pump and motor
The information provided below is applicable to all
Jacuzzi Luxury Bath units. Determine which set up
you have (blower or pump/motor) and follow those
instructions.
The electrical outlet must be mounted 4˝ (101mm)
above the floor line, or in accordance with local
building and electrical codes.
Blower
-
The blower requires a dedicated 120 VAC, 15AMP,
GFCI protected circuit. The electrical outlet is not
supplied.
Pump/motor
-
The pump/motor and heater requires a dedicated
240 VAC, 20 AMP GFCI protected circuit. The
electrical outlet is not provided.
-
Power cords from the heater and the pump/motor
are routed to a fused junction box at the factory. A
supplied power cord from the junction box with a
240 VAC plug connects to the customer-supplied
GFCI protected circuit.
-
Bonding lugs are provided on the heater and motor
to satisfy local electrical codes.
-
At initial start-up, test GFCI units for proper
operation. Follow manufacturer's instructions on
proper use.
If the GFCI units indicate a malfunction, per manufacturer's instructions, turn OFF power and do not use the
bathtub until the source of the problem has been identified and corrected.
