BOILER MAINTENANCE – USER INFORMATION
The operations that the user can perform on the boiler are only as follows:
- Check the quantity of water in the boiler and in the plant (at least once a week)
- Unlock the circulators when they have been inactive for over 15 days (turn the main switch off, unscrew the
chromed screw on the circulators (the leakage of some water is normal) and free the rotor with a screwdriver)
- Unlock the safety thermostat and the reset pushbutton (if boiler is locked-out)
- In case of doubts, or if the boiler reset operations must be performed more than three times, contact a
qualified technician.
BOILER IGNITION
- Open the gas tap
- Start the main switch
- Set the boiler thermostat to the desired temperature
- The fan pilot lamp will light up and gas will start exiting from the main burner; at the same time, the igniter
will set the spark.
- The burner ignites and the spark stops immediately
- If the lock-out lamp and the control unit reset pushbutton are on, press the latter to push it to its limit switch
This operation must not be repeated more than three times.
- Should the boiler fail to stay on, contact a qualified technician.
BOILER SHUT OFF
Turn the main switch off
Close the manual gas on-off valve placed outside the boiler or outside the boiler room
WARNING: if the boiler or parts of the plant can go below 0°C, introduce anti-freeze into the plant.
WARNINGS
It is advisable to comply with the regulations in force relating to the yearly maintenance carried out by qualified
technicians to check the boiler efficiency, its wear and to perform an accurate cleaning.

CLEANING THE BOILER

Contact a qualified technician to clean the boiler.
Use a damp cloth to remove dust from the shell.
Disconnect power supply before performing this operation.
Do not use detergents or solvents. For resistant spots, if a damp cloth is not sufficient, use alcohol.
Check the position of the thermostats and supply the boiler again.
