blade pulleys (7, 8). Adjust the blade if neces-
sary (see 5.3).
Close the two side covers (12). Push the side
cover against the machine frame (25) as far
as it will go. The side cover must latch home
with an audible click. Screw the fastening
handle (13) tight with the side cover (12) held
in pressed position.
Important! Slacken the blade when you do not
want to use it for some time; this will prevent it
from overstretching. Turn the tightening screw
(9) approx. 3 turns counter-clockwise in order
to slacken the blade (26).
Warning! The blade may break if the tension
is too high.
Warning! If the tension is too low, the powered
blade pulley (7) will simply spin without the
blade moving.
5.3 Adjusting the blade (Fig. 2/6)
Important! Before the blade can be adjusted,
it must be properly tensioned (see 5.2).
Open the two side covers (12) by slackening
the fastening handles (13).
Turn the upper blade pulley (8) slowly by hand
in clockwise direction until the blade (26) has
settled in a certain position.
The blade (26) should rest on the rubber tire
(3) without the blade's teeth touching the tire!
The teeth of the blade (26) should project
beyond the rubber tire (3) (see Fig. 6b). If not,
the tilt angle of the upper blade pulley (8)
must be corrected.
Slacken the wing nut (30) in order to be able
to turn the adjustment handle (29).
If the blade (26) runs more towards the rear of
the blade pulley (8), i.e. towards the machine
frame (25), the adjustment handle (29) must
be turned counter-clockwise. Then turn the
blade pulley (7) slowly with the other hand to
check the position of the blade (26).
If the blade (26) runs towards the front of the
blade pulley (8), the adjustment handle (29)
must be turned clockwise.
Secure your adjustment on the upper blade
pulley (8) by tightening the wing nut (30).
Close the two side covers (12). Push the side
cover against the machine frame (25) as far
as it will go. The side cover must latch home
with an audible click. Screw the fastening
handle (13) tight with the side cover (12) held
in pressed position.

5.4 Adjusting the support bearing (Fig. 7-10)
Each time after changing the blade you must
readjust the support bearings at the lower and
upper blade guide.
Important! Before adjusting the support bea-
rings you must adjust the blade tension as in
5.2 and the position of the blade (26) on the
pulleys as in 5.3.
Important! The support bearings support the
blade (26) only during the cutting operation.
The blade should not touch the support bea-
rings in idling mode.
5.4.1 Adjusting the upper support bearings
(Fig. 7/8)
Adjust the upper blade guide (11) to medium
height (see 5.5).
Use the 4 mm hex key (57) to slacken the so-
cket head screw on the support bearing at top
left (39), right (40) and rear (41).
Move the support bearings (39, 40, 41) to the
point where they just stop touching the blade
(26) (max. 0.5 mm gap).
Re-tighten the socket head screws with the
hex key (57).
Important! If you fit a blade with a different
width, you can shift the complete upper bea-
ring unit (42) such that all 3 support bearings
(39, 40, 41) are shifted in one go.
To do so, use the 5 mm hex key (58) to
slacken the 5 mm socket head screw (43).
Move the upper bearing unit (42) to the point
where the rear support bearing (41) just stops
touching the blade (max. 0.5 mm gap). Then
re-tighten the socket head screw (43).
Caution! The blade will be rendered useless
if the side support bearings (39, 40) touch
the blade teeth! Adjust the depth of the side
support bearings with the socket head screw
(43).
5.4.2 Adjusting the lower support bearings
(Fig. 9a-10)
Disassemble the saw table (15). (See 5.1).
Open the lower side cover (12) by slackening
the fastening handle (13).
Turn the cover (50) away to the front to gain
access to the support bearings.
Use the 4 mm hex key (57) to slacken the
socket head screw on the support bearing at
bottom left (44) and right (45).
Slacken the socket head screw on the sup-
port bearing at bottom rear (46) by passing
the 4 mm hex key (57) through the opening
(49) and into the socket head screw.
