4. Maintenance and storage
● Store from direct sunlight, -10 °C...+50 °C, relative humidity (RH) under 75 %.
● Clean with a damp cloth or sponge (be careful not to scratch the visor). Use lukewarm water
and mild detergent (neutral, pH 6-8) (e.g. washing-up liquid). Allow to dry.
● Do not use solvents (e.g. acetone, turpentine), hot water or bleaching agents (perborate,
percarbonate). Never clean with compressed air or compressed water.
● The hood can be cleaned by light showering (breathing hose connected). Do not spray water
into the hose or fi lters.
● Do not use radiant heat or artifi cial heating over +40 °C for drying purposes.
● Check the condition of hood, visor, helmet and hose, and replace when necessary.
● Only use original spare parts.

Replacing the exhalation valve
● Pull the valve cover from the valve and remove the disc.
● Insert a new disc ensuring that it lies fl at on the seat.
● Align the valve cover with the slots and snap it into place.

Replacing the head harness
● Separate the helmet from the hood, and turn the helmet upside down so that the harness is
exposed.
● By using both thumbs, press down on the white retaining tabs to release the head harness
from the helmet.
● When mounting, insert the white retaining tabs of the new harness into the slots in the rim of
the helmet, and press down until they clik into place.
Replacing the sweatband
● Separate the helmet from the hood.
● Pull the sweatband from the head harness hooks.
● Fit the new sweatband onto the four hooks in the lower front of the headband, fold across the
headband, then clip on to the two hooks at the top of the headband.

Unscrew the hose from the helmet.
Screw the new hose (threaded end) into the nut at the rear of the helmet,
through the opening in the hood. Secure by screwing fi nger-tight, do not
over-tighten.
Unscrew the hose from the helmet.
Fold back the hood from the rear of the helmet so that the visor carrier arms
are exposed.
Pull to withdraw the arms from the mounting posts. The helmet and hood
are now separated.
Fold back of the hood suffi ciently to expose the visor carrier arms and insert
the helmet.
Insert each arm into its respective mounting post.
Taking a fi rm hold of the helmet with one hand and the hood with the other,
slowly pull the back of the hood over helmet until the helmet is correctly
positioned within the hood.
Screw in the hose.
