Using the memory

To access the memory:
n Press RCL (12) button.
The last three values are indicated on the
display (2). The sequential number as well as
the number of saved values (e.g. 05/05) are
indicated at top left next to the memory
symbol.
n Press the + (11) button to select the next
higher value (e.g. 04/05).
n Press the – (13) button to select the
lower value (e.g. 01/05).
To leave memory mode:
n Press any button (9) except the On/Off
button (10) and the switchover button
for the unit of measurement.
Using the Delete button
The Delete button CLR (9) is used:

to delete the current reading; it is then
not saved in the memory either.

to leave the measurement and calculation
modes (area, volume or indirect distance
measurement).

Checking precision
Select a measurement distance which is
known and is fixed (e.g. length of room).
n Measure distance 10 times in
succession.
The deviation between the readings may be
maximum ±5 mm.
Carry out this check at regular intervals and
log the results to be able to recognise trends.

Troubleshooting
Fault:
Device cannot be switched on.
Batteries dead or incorrectly inserted.
Remedial action:
Check batteries. If required, insert new
batteries.
Remedial action:
Wait until the device has reached the
operating temperature (0 °–40 °C/
32 to 104 °F).
Remedial action:
Insert new batteries.
