N.B.:
Before turning on the oven, make sure that no plastic
bags and no paper of cardboard are inside the oven.
3.2.2
USING THE VENTILATED OVEN
- Turn the knob (Pos. A - Fig. 3) clockwise onto the desired position.
- The green flash light will light up to show that the oven is on.
- If the orange flash light lights up (Pos. C - Fig. 3), this means that the thermostat is working and that the oven is heating up.
When the desired temperature has been reached (Pos. A - Fig. 3) the orange flash light goes off and food may be put into the
oven.
- The door must be thoroughly shut while cooking.
- When the food is cooked, turn off the oven by turning the knob back onto '"0" position.
3.2.3
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VENTILATED OVEN
The oven heats up by means of a rear resistor and a motor-fan which distributes the hot air inside the oven.
The temperature inside the oven is maintained by means of a thermostat which switches off the resistor when the desired
temperature is reached and switches it on again when the temperature decreases by a few degrees.
3.2.4
COOKING WITH THE VENTILATED ELECTRIC OVEN
Thanks to the proper distribution of hot air inside the oven, various types of food may be cooked on the three shelves of the
side grill. Moreover this system enables to cook food faster, as compared to the static electric oven. Therefore it is advisable to
reduce the temperature indicated on most cookbooks by 15 - 20°C when using a ventilated oven.
3.3
COOKING WITH THE GRILL
Turn the control knob of the oven (Pos. A - Fig. 3)onto the desired temperature and wait until the temperature has been reached.
Put the meat to be cooked directly onto the grill (on middle height), after rubbing it with a small amount of oil. Insert another
shelf below the grill to avoid soiling the oven too much.
The hot air ensures the proper cooking of the food on all sides and a fast browning, so that the meat remains moist inside.
Therefore there is no need to turn the meat while it is cooking.
Important: before using the oven for the first time heat it up to its maximum temperature for 30 - 40 minutes keeping the oven
door closed to burn possible oil residues which could lead to unpleasant smells.
