Operating and installation instructions

The LinkKit connects an inserted mobile phone with the vehicle's external aerial. Thus, both the
electromagnetic radiation from the mobile phone within the vehicle is reduced and the quality of
transmission and reception is improved.
The LinkKit is not a replacement for a hands-free system and does not establish any connection to an
existing hands-free system. In order to use the mobile phone via the vehicle's hands-free system a
Bluetooth connection is necessary Operating instructions for hands-free system. The battery is not
recharged.
A prerequisite for the correct functioning of the LinkKit is fitting in accordance with the installation
instructions  2 Installation instructions Page 13.
1 Operating instructions
WARNING
Use of a mobile phone in the vehicle that is not connected to the vehicle's external aerial, repre-
sents a health risk for the vehicle occupants, as the electromagnetic radiation produced by the
mobile phone may exceed the valid limits.
If an accident occurs, a mobile phone may be flung around the vehicle interior and cause inju-
ries.

Never leave a mobile phone on a seat, on the dashboard or in any location where it could be
flung through the vehicle as a result of sudden braking, an accident or a collision.

Ensure that the mobile phone is pushed into the LinkKit and that the LinkKit is closed and
engaged in position. This connects the mobile phone to the vehicle's exterior telephone aerial
and secures it in case of an accident.
