You can set the local time hour hand to a given
15
time zone as follows:
– If you are traveling eastbound, press the pusher at
8 o'clock to move the hand clockwise by as many
hours as the two time zones are apart (press once
for +1 hour).
– If you are westbound, press the pusher at 10
o'clock to move the hand counterclockwise by as
many hours as the two time zones are apart (press
once for –1 hour).
– If you move the hour hand for local time beyond
midnight in either direction, the date will also
switch forward or backward.
The skeletonized hand continues to indicate home
time, and the day/night indicator at 3 o'clock ref-
erenced to this hand (HOME) shows you whether
it is momentarily day or night in your home time
zone (normal place of residence or work).
If you continue your journey and pass through
further time zones, simply repeat the procedure
described above with the + or – pushers.
As soon as you have returned to your home time
zone (normal place of residence or work), simply
press the + or – pushers as many times as needed to
superpose the two hour hands again. Make sure the
two day/night indicators (HOME and LOCAL) indi-
cate the same time of day and have the same color.
