CASSETTE DOOR
Hold the cassette with the exposed tape edge to the
right and insert it into the cassette door. Depress
fully until the cassette is engaged and begins play-
ing.
When the cassette reaches the end on the side of
the tape being played, the unit will automatically
change direction of play as shown by the arrow
indications on the display panel and play of the other
side of the cassette will begin.
NOTE: Observe the cassette operation cautions in
the Care and Maintenance section of this
manual.

FAST-FORWARD BUTTON
Pushing the Fast-Forward button will cause the tape
to move rapidly in the forward direction of play. To
stop Fast-Forward movement, lightly push the Re-
bo
wind button
until the mechanism disengages and
normal play resumes.

REWIND BUTTON
Pushing the Rewind button will cause the tape to
move rapidly in the reverse direction of play. To stop
Rewind movement, lightly press the Fast-Forward

until the mechanism disengages and
normal play resumes.

PROGRAM SELECTOR
To manually reverse tape direction and play the
other side (program) of the cassette, lightly press
bn
both the Fast-Forward
and Rewind
the same time. The change of direction will be
shown by the arrows on the display panel.

EJECT BUTTON
Tape playback is stopped and the cassette is ejected
by pressing this button, which also has the function
of switching over to radio operation.
NOTE: Never leave a cassette engaged in the
player when not in use. Doing so can cause
damage to the cassette and/or mechanism
of the unit. Always press the eject button
and remove the cassette before removing
the detachable front panel or when leaving
the vehicle.

CD INPUT
An audio input jack for use with portable CD players
is located on the front control panel. Using an audio
patch cable with standard 1/8" phono plugs (avail-
able at most radio supply stores), attach the audio
output from the CD player to the CD input jack on the
radio. The CD player will now operate through the
audio system of the radio using the volume, balance
