T ake out the worn table insert (6).
F it the replacement table insert by following
the above in reverse.
6.3 Fitting/removing the splitter (Fig. 5, 6)
D anger! Pull out the power plug.
R emove the saw blade guard (2) (see 6.1).
R emove the fastening screws (19) and
remove the splitter (5).
T o assemble, proceed in the reverse order.
T he distance between the blade (4) and the
splitter (5) should be 3-8 mm (Fig. 8).
M ake sure that the splitter has been fitted
straight and not wobbly.
T he splitter (5) must be positioned in the
center along an imaginary line extending
behind the saw blade (4), so that it is not
possible for the material to get jammed.
6.4 Fitting/changing the saw blade (Fig. 7, 8)
D anger! Pull out the power plug!
W ear work gloves to prevent injury when
changing the saw blade.
R emove the saw blade cover (31) to provide
access to the saw blade (4). To do so, undo
the two recessed head screws (32) and
remove the saw blade cover (31).
U ndo the screw (15) by placing the 19/8 mm
ring wrench (29) on the screw (15) and the
10/8 mm ring wrench (30) on the motor shaft
to apply counter-pressure.
C aution! Turn the nut in the direction of
rotation of the saw blade.
T ake off the outer flange and pull the old
saw blade off the inner flange by dropping
the blade at an angle.
C lean the blade flange thoroughly before
fitting the new blade.
M ount and fasten the new saw blade in
reverse order.
C aution! Note the running direction. The
cutting angle of the teeth must point in
running direction, i.e. forwards (see the
arrow on the blade guard).
C heck to make sure that all safety devices
are properly mounted and in good working
condition before you begin working with the
saw again.
W arning! Every time that you change the
saw blade, check that the saw blade guard

(2) opens and closes again in accordance
with requirements. Also check that the saw
blade (4) spins freely in the saw blade guard
(2).
W arning! Every time that you change the
saw blade (4), check to see that it spins
freely in the table insert (6) in both
- 22 -
perpendicular and 45° angle settings.
W arning! You should replace the table insert
(6) immediately whenever it is worn or dama-
ged (see 6.2).
W arning! The work to change and align the
saw blade (4) must be carried out correctly.
6.5 Securing on a substructureThe
holes (20) in the machine frame
can be used to secure the
equipment to a fi rm, level
substructure such as a workbench.
Suitable fastening material
(screws, etc.) is available from
your dealer.
6.6 Sawdust extraction (Fig. 9)
T he saw is equipped with an extractor
adapter (16) for chips.
S lot the extractor adapter (16) into the
opening provided for the purpose in the saw
blade cover (31) at the rear of the machine.
T his makes it easy to connect to any
extractor.
N ever use the equipment without the suction
function.
R egularly check and clean the suction
channels.
6.7 Putting away loose parts (Fig. 2)
When not in use, the push stick (3), parallel stop
(7) and cross stop (14) can be secured as shown
in Fig. 2. The cross stop (14) can be fastened to
the machine housing with the wing nut (36). The
parallel stop (7) can be placed in the machine
housing.
7. Operation
7.1 Switching on/off (Fig. 1, 13a / Item 11)
T he saw can be switched on by pressing the
green „I" pushbutton.
T he red pushbutton „0" has to be pressed to
switch the saw off again.
