LIMIT VALUES FOR STATE OF CHARGE
AND STATE OF HEALTH OF THE BATTERY
The limit values cited here for battery replacement are
recommendations that you should follow to ensure
reliable function of the start-stop system.
SOC
State of charge
( SOC)
SOH
State of health
(SOH)
If the current state of charge (SOC) of the battery is less
than 60%, the battery should be recharged. To improve
the test results below, we recommend charging
the battery at a state of charge below 75%.
At state of charge (SOC) under 25% the battery must
always be recharged, before the state of health (SOH)
can be determined.
If for the state of health (SOH) capacity under 66%
is measured the service life of the battery has expired.
Depending on the application the battery could still have
suffi cient power to be used a while longer. However for
reliable operation we recommend replacing the battery.
