Installing Main Unit

1 Lock-release position
The main unit slides backward and the unit posi-
tion is unlocked.
22 Remove the unit from the sun visor.
Close the diffuser and combiner of the main
unit, and then push the sun visor down to the
vertical position.
Pull the lock plates on the mounting bracket to
the left and right to release the lock. Unlock the
fall prevention belt. Push the sun visor up to the
horizontal position, and then remove the mount-
ing bracket from the sun visor.
! Be careful not to cause the unit to fall out.
23 Firmly tighten the mounting screws at
the front of the main unit.
Firmly tighten the two mounting screws at the
front of the main unit that were loosened in step
11 and the two longitudinal direction adjustment
screws that were loosened in step 12.
24 Mount the unit to the sun visor.
Perform the operation from steps 13 to 17 to
mount the unit to the sun visor.
! Align the HUD lock lever to the lock-release
position before mounting the unit to the sun
visor.
! If there is a gap between the vehicle's ceiling
and sun visor when the sun visor is in the
horizontal position, attach the sun visor cush-
ion to the fall prevention belt.

! When attaching a sun visor cushion, affix the
sun visor cushion to the sun visor cushion
holder, attach it to the fall prevention belt,
and then secure the fall prevention belt.

25 Connect the power cable to the unit.

26 Route the power cable.
Route the power cable so that the cable will not
interfere with driving, and ensure the driver has
a safe field of vision.
! Adjust the power cable so that it will not ob-
struct the driver's vision.
! Route the cable so that it will not interfere
with the backward and forward movement of
the main unit when operating the HUD lock
lever.
Route the power cable by fixing the points with
clamps commercially available.

1 Fix the cable with clamps commercially
available.
! Do not affix or mount the cable to the wind-
screen.
! Do not route the power cable at the foot of
the driver's seat. There is a risk that the
power cable gets trapped under the brake
pedal and interferes with driving, resulting in
a serious accident.
27 Lock the main unit position.
Pull the HUD lock lever, and slide it to the lock
position.
