If the chain slips between the smaller chainring and the frame, the causes could be:
• the inner limit screws have moved
• the cable has lost tension
If the chain slips outside the larger lower chainring, the causes could be:
• the outer limit screws have moved
• there is no plate on the front of the outer cage (Record
WARNING!
The upper and lower travel limits of the front derailleur must only be set by a
specialised mechanic.
An incorrectly set front derailleur may cause dangerous malfunctions and result
in accidents and serious or even fatal injuries.
