g)
Fit the two cable stops on the frame totally tighten.
h)
Cut the housing at the right length and round the internal
edges, insert it on the shifting cable until it butts up against the
lever-body; fi x it with adhesive tape in various points on the
handlebar and attach the cable to the rear or front derailleur.
The shifting cable can route either to the front or to the back
of the handlebar (for a smoother working). (Pic.5)
The exact setting must be done by following the manufacturer's sug-
gestions.
Normally the rear derailleur is set on the smallest sprocket and the
front derailleur on the largest (2 speeds) or central (3 speeds) chain-
ring, doing then a cross-check (largest sprocket / smallest chainring,
etc. (See Picture 6)
The front derailleur control, needs normally two clicks for shifting
from one chainring to the other.
REMEMBER: A good wiring of transmissions grants a good working
of the rear derailleur. Make sure that the housings do not have any
play at the ends, and that the curves are smooth. After a running in
period, it will be necessary to adjust the tensíon of the cables and the
alignment of the rear derailleur.
