TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
Pump will not start
or run
Motor hums but pump
doesn't pump water
Flow rate is too low
Pump cyclesfrequently.
Possible Cause
1. Wire connection issues
2. Battery issue
3. Switch stuck
1. Battery issue
1. The discharge pipe length
and/or height exceeds the
capacity ofthe pump
2. Low battery
3. Positive and negative wires
connected incorrectly
4. Positive and negative wires
connected incorrectly
1. The check valve located
betweenthe discharge of the
primary pumpand the Battery
Backup tee is notinstalled or is
not working properly.

Corrective Action
1. Check all the wiring connections.
2. Check for a low or defective battery.
3. Check the float switch free to move up
anddown
1. Check for a low or defective battery
1. Make sure a check valve is installed
between primary pump discharge and
theDC pump tee.
2. Replace the DC pump
3. Check the low or defective battery
4. Reverse the positive and negative wire
connections
1. Install check valve or replace check
valve
