Insulation resistance test
An insulation resistance check must not be carried out
in an installation with Biral pumps with built-in electronics,
as these may be damaged by it.
The pump must be electrically separated for any test.
Twin pumps: The insulation resistance test should be conducted
separately on the main and auxiliary pump.
6.4.1 Insulation resistance test of pumps A..., AD...
1. Switch off / interrupt the distribution voltage.
Wait 10 min until the voltage has dissipated!
2. Disconnect the lines from terminal L and N
and the ground wire.
3. Short-circuit terminal L and N with a short line
4. Between terminal L and the ground connection:
Test at a max. 1000 VAC or 1500 VDC.
Warning: Under no circumstances should a test
be conducted between phases (L) and (N).
Max. permissible discharge current < 20mA.
5. Remove the short wire between terminals L and N.
6. Connect the L, N, and ground wires.
7. Switch on the distribution voltage.
6.4.2 High voltage test
for pump models A 802, AD 802 and A 1002
Should it become necessary to carry out a high voltage test
on the A pump, the instruction for the insulation resistance test
are to be followed.
See Section 6.4.1. Insulation resistance test.
