1. Press the spindle down until the tip of the bit
rests on the workpiece.
2. Undo the clamping screw (29) and turn the scale
ring (25) forward as far as the stop.
3. Reset the required dimension and tighten the
clamping screw (29).
4. After switching on, you can now drill to the
desired depth up to the stop.

Thumb screw
The height of the guard is infinitely adjustable with 2
thumb screws. The chip guard is easy to push up in
order to change the bit.

7.5 Care and maintenance

There is no need to lubricate the bearings of the SB
701. All the ball bearings are greased for life.
Lubricate all moving parts and threads regularly with
a drop of acid-free lubricating oil.
Use only a brush or rag to clean the machine.
Never use solvents to clean the painted parts.
Treat bare parts regularly with anti-corrosion agent.
7.6 Speed settings

various materials.
The speeds quoted are guidelines alone.
