PATROL MODE AND DATUM OPERATION
It is possible to initiate a patrol manually from the dtx telemetry transmitter keyboard even if patrol
always mode has not been programmed in on the receiver. The procedure is explained in the
relevant dtx telemetry transmitter handbook.
There are two separate patrols (Patrol 1 and Patrol 2)available to the operator from the dtx
telemetry transmitter keyboard.
When the receiver executes a patrol, the unit cycles through all of the stored preset positions,
always starting at preset 1.
The dtx 1000 telemetry transmitter enables the operator to store up to 16 preset positions in the
receiver.
The dtx 400 allows the operator to store 8 presets.
Presets stored in the receiver are automatically added to Patrols 1 & 2.
Individual presets can be removed from either Patrol 1 or 2, using the dtx telemetry transmitter
keyboard, enabling the operator to create two different patrol sequences.
Independent delays between preset activations, are available for each patrol programme from the
dtx telemetry transmitter keyboard.
When Patrol Always mode is selected, the unit will return to patrol mode following any power
loss.(starting with preset 1.)
When Patrol Always mode is selected the unit will revert to patrol mode after a short delay on the
cessation of manual operation. Manual operation takes priority over patrol.
Patrol Always mode permits operation of a system with no dtx telemetry transmitter keyboard
installed.
Due note should be taken that programming the receiver for Patrol Always can not be deactivated
from the dtx telemetry transmitter keyboard, deactivation requires a re-programming operation at
the receiver. (See PROGRAMMING THE UNIT section e.)
Programming the unit for Datum ON overrides patrol mode.
When Datum is selected the unit remains in that mode following any power loss.
