PROGRAMMING THE UNIT

Programming instructions are entered via the 8 way DIP switch bank SW1 located at the top left
hand corner of the p.c.b.( as you view the row of connectors along the front edge) next to the INCH
and LENS potentiometers.
The default setting for all 8 DIP switches is OFF i.e. switch arm positioned to the left. The body of
the switch is labelled ON indicating that the ON position is to the right.
The DIP switches control the following functions when IN programming mode:
SWITCH FUNCTION
SWITCH 1 Switching ON and OFF activates a Self Test sequence
SWITCH 2 Programmes Alarm output option - immediate or delayed
SWITCH 3 Activates the Patrol Mode
SWITCH 4 Programmes the Datum Option
SWITCH 5 Programmes the maximum and minimum pan & tilt speed response
SWITCH 6 Programmes the light detector twilight threshold setting
SWITCH 7 Activates the lens fine response (anti-hunting mode) OFF: Response at 1/4 "speed (default) ON: Response at inch speed
SWITCH 8 ON position selects Programming Mode
The self test function can be activated before any programming is carried out, in order to:-
(a) verify that the unit is functional.
(b) to reset the unit prior to programming
(c) Set lens / pan & tilt head preset potentiometers sense
The first three procedures from the following list of programme options involve the adjustment of the
LENS V and INCH V potentiometers. Make a note of the original potentiometer settings as they
need to be returned to that setting on exiting the Programme Mode.
Programming consists of the following steps that should be carried out in the order specified:-
a. Datum Delay Operation
Switch 8 ON
Adjust LENS V potentiometer as required
Switch 4 ON then OFF
Switch 8 OFF
Return the LENS V potentiometer to its original position
N.B. Datum is a self park position stored in pre-set 1. Datum operations must be selected ON for normal operation after programming is completed and before the
settings are utilised by the unit.

Enters the Programme Mode
Sets the Datum delay time
Fully anti-clockwise = 10 seconds appx.
Fully clockwise = 20 minutes appx.
Stores the assigned selected delay time to Datum Mode
Exits Programming Mode
