CAUTION
Always check the air filter after riding in severe
conditions. Clean or
necessary.
1. Remove the left cover.
2. Remove the external screw 1 and dismantle the
outside cover of the air filter.
3. Dismantle the sponge air filter element 2 and clean it.
4. Remove the screw 4 and dismantle the paper air filter
element 3, then clean it.
5. Clean the dust on the air filter's shell and that on the
air filter cover's inner wall.
6. Reinstall the cleaned filter or new filter in reverse order
of removal. Be absolutely sure that the filter is securely
in position and is sealing properly.

If riding in dusty conditions, please clean or
replace the air filter element more frequently.
Never twist or wring the sponge filter while
cleaning. Check carefully for fractures on the
filter. In case fractures are found, replace the filter
immediately.
If riding in dusty conditions, make the inspection
and replacement intervals for the air filter element
shorter; if it is found that the air filter element is
blocked, damaged or non-dustproof, the engine
power has dramatically declined or the fuel
consumption has increased, do not solve the
problem during
immediately change the air filter element. If the
engine is started when there is no air filter
element, it will wear more seriously. Check the
condition of the air filter element frequently
because this component usually has an impact on
engine life.
