7 Installation and electrical connection
Installation and electrical connection should be carried out in accordance
with local regulations and only by qualified personnel!

Local or general regulations and directives from local energy supply
companies are to be followed.
7.1 Installation
• The pump must be installed in a dry, well-ventilated and frost-free place.
• Mount the pump in an easily accessible location in order to facilitate later
inspections or replacement.
• It is recommended that isolation valves be installed on the suction and
discharge side of the pump. This will save having to drain and refill the system if
the pump needs servicing The valves are to be installed so that any water cannot
drip onto the pump motor or terminal box.
• Install pump so it is free of pipe stress with the motor shaft in horizontal
position. For module locations refer to (Fig. 3).
• Directional arrows on pump body indicate the direction of flow.

CAUTION! Risk of damage to the pump!
Do not damage the flat gasket between pump head and pump housing. Check
the correct position. If necessary use a new gasket, size:
3 3/8" OD x 3" ID x 1/16" thick, EP.
