GENERAL RULES FOR THE OPERATOR'S SAFETY

Read carefully the instructions for the installation, use and maintenance contained in
the user's manual.
Do not allow unskilled personnel to use this equipment, in order to avoid accidents to
people or damages to equipments.
The work place must be dry, sufficiently bright and well aired.
Particularly, car diagnosis operations involving engine ignition must be carried out in a
room provided with an exhaust fan.
We remind you that inhalation of carbon oxide (which is odourless) causes serious
health damages.

When operating on engines or other parts of the vehicle:

Wear suitable clothes and to keep a proper attitude in order to prevent accidents.
Before operating make sure that the car gear is in the idle position (or in the
parking position in case of car with automatic transmission), enable the safety or
parking brake on the vehicle to be tested and make sure the wheels are locked.
Protect your face, hands and feet and avoid any contact with hot surfaces such as
plugs, exhaust pipes, radiators, cooling system connections.
Do not smoke or light any flame when working on a vehicle.
Make sure that all electric connections are well insulated and firm.
Do not look directly inside the carburator suction pipe from too close when the
engine is on.
Keep one's hands and hair off the moving parts. Never wear ties, large clothes,
wrist pieces of jewellery and watches when working on a vehicle, especially if the
engine is on.
Do not pour fuel directly into the carburator to make the starting easier.
Keep away from the fan; the cooling fan is controlled by a thermal switch linked to
the cooling liquid temperature: disconnect a fan cable each time you work on a still
hot engine to prevent the fan from starting suddenly also with the engine being
off.
