Connecting audio
• The DVR supports four audio inputs. To avoid confusion, make sure to connect the audio of video
channel 1 (V1) with audio channel 1 (A1), audio of V2 with A2 and so on.
Connecting Local Area Network (LAN)
• Connect the DVR to a local network by plugging a network cable into the LAN port at the back of
the DVR. Connector type is 8P8C (RJ45). Setup is done through the OSD.
Connecting the power supply
• Plug the included power cable into the AC power input connector [A] and the other end into a
suitable mains outlet.
• Consider using an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS, not incl.) to guarantee security monitoring
during a (local) power cut.

7. Preliminary settings

• Make sure the connected cameras are on and press the POWER button on the remote control to
switch on the DVR. It takes about 10 to 15 seconds to start up.
Setting date and time
• Before using the DVR the time and date should be set to get a valid time stamp.
• Press the MENU button and enter the password to go into the menu list.
Note: default admin password is "0000" (4 times zero).
• Use the
buttons to move to the DATE menu item. Select it to set date, time and daylight
savings option.
Note: once recording started, do not change date or time as this will clear all recorded files!!!
Password setting
• Press the MENU button and enter the password to go into the menu list.
• Select the ADVANCED menu item.
• Go to SYSTEM INFO. Select PASSWORD and press the
numeric keys.
Note: default admin password is "0000" (4 times zero).
