CE MARKING INDICATIONS
Each machine is identified by the following data:
Manufacturer's name and address: SAMMIC S.L.
c/ Atxubiaga 14 Azpeitia Gipuzkoa (SPAIN).
"CE" mark
The next section specifies the model of
machine concerned.
The serial number appears in the warranty cer-
tificate and in the Declaration of Conformity.
MODELS
This instruction manual provides instruc-
tions for installing, operating and maintai-
ning the machine.
For the model reference and characteristics,
see the nameplate affixed to the machine.
Our machine is designed and produced
according to the following standards:
· Regulations for models 230V / 50-60Hz / 1~ :
- Machine directive: 98/37/CE.
- Low voltage directive: 2006/95/CE.
- E.M.C. directive: 2004/108/CE.
- Machine safety standards: UNE-EN-
60335-1, UNE-EN 60335-2-64 and UNE-
EN 12852.
- Interference emissions standards: UNE-
EN 55014, UNE-EN-61000-3-2 and UNE-
EN-61000-3-3.
- Immunity to interference standards:
UNE-EN 55014-2.
· Regulations for models 120V / 50-60Hz / 1~ :
- Safety standards: ANSI / UL 763.
- Hygiene and materials standards: ANSI
/ NSF 8.
PROTECTION RATING
Controls: IP-55.
Machine as a whole: IP-34.
INSTALLATION
For best performance and long life of the
machine, carefully follow the instructions
contained in this manual.
LOCATION
Choose an appropriate location according
to your needs. We recommend placing the
machine on a flat and stable surface. It is
not necessary to fasten the machine, which
is easily transportable, after unplugging it
from the mains. Accordingly, the machine
must be installed in such a way that the
plug is easily accessible at all times.
ELECTRICS
This machine is single-phase and supplied
pre-wired to operate on 230V 50-60Hz or
120V 50-60 Hz current.

Before plugging your machine into a mains
outlet, check the mains voltage is the same
as that stated on the rating plate of the
appliance.
POWER CORD CHARACTERISTICS
The machine comes complete with a 2m
long thermoplastic sheathed power cord
resistant to oil and the like.
Prepare a 2P, 15-20A wall receptacle and its
mating plug (if this does not exist).
EARTHING IS OBLIGATORY. The earth
wire of the appliance is identified.
START- UP (Pag.13)
Before using the machine for the first time,
clean the area in contact with food with (luke-
warm) soapy water, rinse and leave to dry.
Assembly
It is recommended to carry out this proce-
dure with the machine off and unplugged.
· Place the bowl (G) on the motor unit (J).
· Put the blade unit (H) onto the spindle (L)
and press it down until it butts against
the base.
WARNING: The blades (K) are very sharp
and need to be handled carefully.
· Close the lid (F) and block it by turning
the arm (F) anti-clockwise.
Controls
Operating the machine is done through the
push-buttons on the front panel, namely:
ON/OFF SWITCH (Z)
START / STOP BUTTON (B)
JOG PUSHBUTTON (C)
SPEED SELECTOR (D)
Safety features
A safety device prevents the machine from
working, when:
· the bowl has been removed or is inco-
rrectly placed;
· the lid (F) is off and/or has not been clo-
sed;
Accordingly, the machine can operate only
if the bowl (G) is correctly in place, the lid
(F) closed.
Directions for use
After installing the bowl:
1. Set the appropriate blade unit (H).
2. Put
the
product
into
Recommended quantity:
For solid food, the optimum level is
slightly above the upper blade (K). For
liquids, the level must not exceed the
mark in the middle of the bowl. It is very
important to set the blade unit (H) when
the bowl is empty.
3. Close the lid (F), verifying it fits in per-
fectly.
4. Plug the machine into the mains outlet.
5. It is recommended to select the blade cut-
ting speed with the speed selector (D)
before starting the SK-3 cutter. This way,
you will obtain the desired quality (consis-
tency) of the processed product. This
speed selector (D) is at the maximum posi-
tion, with the motor providing maximum
speed; from this position, turn the control
clockwise to reduce the blade speed.
6. Press the ON/OFF switch (Z) to power up
the machine.
7. Press the Start/Stop button (B); the
machine will operate continuously, until
you press the button again and stop the
cutter. This is the recommended mode
of operation for medium to long dura-
tion processes.
If you press the Jog Pushbutton (C), the
machine will operate while you keep the
button depressed and it will stop automa-
tically
when
Pushbutton (C). We recommend you use
this mode of operation for short-duration
processes or to obtain a specific quality or
consistency of the finished product.
8. During the food processing also, you can
change the blade cutting speed by means
of the speed selector (D). This speed selec-
tor (D) is at the maximum position, with
the motor providing maximum speed;
from this position, turn the control clock-
wise to reduce the blade speed.
9. Once the process done, unplug your
machine, remove the blade unit (H) care-
fully to avoid injury.
10. The lid (F) has a feed tube (I) that per-
mits introducing more product when
the machine is working.
