If the rim is to be secured on the inside, the clam-
ping jaws have to be moved inwards.

5. Apply lubricant to the tire wall as far as the rim
flange.

For Runflat or UHP tires: Use pliers, wedges or bead
depressor TECNOROLLER XL for example.
6. Actuate the mounting column pedal to move the moun-
ting column into working position.
7. Move the mounting head into contact with the rim.
Check whether the roller (A) and the underside of
the mounting head are in contact with the edge of
the rim.

In the case of light alloy rims, always fit the plastic
roller guard (B) to prevent damage.

Press the locking knob to automatically set the hori-
zontal and vertical distance between the mounting
head and the edge of the rim.
8. Insert the bead lifter between the mounting head
and the rim bead.

To facilitate removal of the tire, the tire bead must
be pressed into the drop center of the rim on the
opposite side of the mounting head.
9. Raise the upper tire bead with the bead lifter and
guide onto the wedge of the mounting head (1).
