Programming of limit swtches "0" and "1"
Limit switches "0" and "1" are the standard positions that the roller shutter/
awning takes up at the end of the Up ("0") or Down ("1") manoeuvre.
Note – Until positions "0" and "1" are memorised on Free-Max, the manoeu-
vres can only be performed in the "Hold-to-run" mode, which means having to
hold the key down for the duration of the manoeuvre.
The programming of the limit switch positions can be performed in three differ-
ent ways. The most suitable choice must be made by evaluating the presence
or absence of devices on the roller shutter/awning that limit or "block" its move-
ment. Roller shutters for example have opening stop "caps" that limit roller
shutter maximum opening, and/or "burglar-proof springs" that prevent roller
shutters from being lifted when fully closed.
Therefore "0" and "1" positions can be programmed differently, depending on
the presence or absence of these mechanical stops (caps and/or springs), via
one of the following 3 procedures.
MANUAL PROGRAMMING OF LIMIT SWITCH

POSITIONS "0" and "1"
✔
For AWNINGS:
For ROLLER SHUTTERS:
Caution! – This programming procedure is suitable for roller shutters that
do not have opening stop "caps" and "burglar-proof springs" that block
the roller shutter in the closed position.
Caution! – This programming procedure is particularly suitable for
Awning without box. The fabric of this type of awnings should not be
excessively stretched when in the closing position.
01. Press and hold down key ▲ (or ▼) on the trans-
0
mitter until the roller shutter/awning reaches the
0
"0" position required by the user; then release
the key.
02. Press and hold down key ■ until the motor per-
forms 1 VIBRATION; then release the key.

Note – Once this programming procedure is complete, key ▲ on the Transmit-
✔
ter will control the Up manoeuvre of the roller shutter/awning, while key ▼ will
control the Down manoeuvre. The roller shutter/awning will stop at pro-
grammed positions "0" and "1" during each of these manoeuvres.

For AWNINGS:
Caution! – This programming procedure is particularly suitable for
Awnings with box, because the perfect closure of the box itself is guar-
anteed.
03. Press and hold down key ■ again (for approx. 5
seconds), until the motor performs 4 SHORT
4
motions; then release the key.
04. Press and hold down key ▲ until the motor per-
forms 2 LONG motions (= the "0" position is
2
memorised); then release the key.
05. Press and hold down key ▼ (or ▲) until the
roller shutter/awning reaches the position "1"
required by the user; then release the key.

08. Press and hold down key ▼ until the motor per-
forms 2 LONG motions (=position "1" is mem-
2
orised); then release the key.

For ROLLER SHUTTERS:
01. Press and hold down key ▲ (or ▼) on the
Transmitter, until the awning reaches position
0
"0" and the motor stops after the fabric has
been fully wound; then release the key.
