PROGRAMMING OF
THE STANDARD OPERATIONS
4
STEP 4
Memorization of the "FIRST" Transmitter
Memorisation of the Transmitter's "Identification
Code" on Free-Max
Each Transmitter has its own "identity code", different from one another, that is
transmitted to the Automation's Receiver during the transmission of any com-
mand. The Transmitter's identity code must be memorised in the Receiver
before it can be "recognised" by the automation.
Therefore, in order to control Free-Max and carry out the programming
described in this manual, the FIRST TRANSMITTER must be "memorised" on
Free-Max (its identity code) using the procedure in paragraph 4.2.
CHECK IF A TRANSMITTER HAS ALREADY BEEN
4.1
MEMORISED ON FREE-MAX
Using the following procedure, check to see if any Transmitters have already
been memorised on Free-Max before following the procedure described in
paragraph 4.2:
01. Turn on the power supply to the automation.
02. At the same time, check how many motions the motor makes:
• 2 SHORT motions = there are transmitters memorised
Note – the two motions plus the pause last for about 1/2 second.
• 2 LONG motions = no transmitters memorised
Note – the two motions plus the pause last for about 1 second.
Caution! – depending on the specific need, refer to procedures 15.1,
15.2, 15.3 or 15.4 if other transmitters need to be memorised in addition
to the first that has already been memorised.

MEMORISING THE "FIRST" TRANSMITTER
4.2
ON FREE-MAX
For AWNINGS:
For ROLLER SHUTTERS:
Caution! – DO NOT follow this procedure if Transmitters have already
been memorised on Free-Max.
01. Turn on the power to Free-Max: the motor
makes 2 LONG motions (= no transmitters
(5"...)
2
on
memorised).
02. (Within the next 5 seconds) Press and hold
(3")
down key ■ on the transmitter for about 3 sec-
3
onds and release it as soon as the motor starts
the first of 3 LONG motions (= memorisation
complete).
Caution! – Once this part of programming has been completed, the Up
and Down movements of the motor are still not associated to keys ▲
and ▼ on the Transmitter. This will take place automatically during one
of the three programming procedures of limit switches "0" and "1" (see
STEP 5).
