7. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Unplug the appliance and wait until it
cools down before proceeding to clean it.
• Clean the outside of the boiler with a
soft, slightly-dampened cloth.
• The surface of the shoe (6) must always
be clean. Cotton deposits and other
impurities can attack the iron's shoe.
To clean it, it is enough to rub the cold
surface with a soft, slightly-dampened
cloth. Do not use descaling agents.
• Do not use detergents or abrasive
products to clean the appliance.
• With a view to preventing the shoe from
getting scratched, you should avoid
ironing zips, metal buttons, etc, and,
similarly, you should not place the iron
on metal or rough surfaces.
• After each use, empty the tank and let the
iron cool down before putting it away.
