Troubleshooting
Battery spent.
Please insert new battery.
Pulse detection
Indicates the memory slot number
Faulty measurement
Fault in air circuit
Pressure exceeds 300 mmHg
Memory error
The unit has not been able to determine the blood pressure value properly if
one of the following error messages appears on the display.
Error Message
Possible Reasons and Solutions
The display fails to show any symbols.
There are no batteries inserted, or they have been wrongly inserted,
or they are completely spent. Insert batteries, check their position or
replace them with new ones.
The batteries are spent.
Replace all four batteries with new 1.5 V AA type batteries.
• The cuff is applied incorrectly.
Apply the cuff correctly.
• The unit displays extremely low or high values.
Keep still for the duration of the measurement.
• You have spoken or moved during the measurement.
Do not talk.
• The connection to the air tube may have been interrupted or no
pulse has been detected.
Check the connection between the upper arm cuff and the unit.
The upper arm cuff is not positioned correctly or the tube connection
is not sealed tight.
Check the connections and repeat the measurement.
The value of the pressure measured exceeds 300 mmHg.
Switch the unit off and repeat the measurement.
The batteries are weak.
Replace all four batteries with new 1.5 V AA type batteries.
Please contact the service centre if the error message appears again when the
measurement is repeated.
