Electrical connection
▪ Maximum voltage: < 30 V DC / 24 V AC
▪ Maximum loop current: < 5 mA
▪ Operating voltage: 24 V DC
Operating loop current: 2 mA (per input)
NOTICE
See section 8.6 "Adjustment - Manual operation [} 175]" and section 10.4 "Ap-
plication and function of the digital control inputs DI 1 and DI 2 [} 181]" for a
description of the functions and their priorities.
CAUTION
Overload or short-circuit
In case of overload or short-circuit of the 24 V connection with GND, all input func-
tions will fail (analogue inputs and digital inputs).
The input functions will be available again when the overload or short-circuit situ-
ation is resolved.
CAUTION
Overvoltages destroy the electronics
Analogue and digital inputs are protected for overvoltages up to 30 V DC / 24 V AC.
Higher overvoltages destroy the electronics.
CAUTION
Digital inputs must not be used for safety-oriented shutdowns!
Wilo Net is a Wilo system bus intended for communication between Wilo products, e.g.
to establish communication between
▪ two single pumps (installed in parallel in one y-pipe installation) as double pumps
(double pump function)
▪ several pumps in connection with the Multi-Flow Adaptation control mode
▪ gateway and pump.
Bus topology:
The bus topology consists of multiple stations (pumps) that have been connected in
series. The stations (pumps) are connected via a shared line.
The bus must be terminated at both ends of the cable. This is done for the two external
pumps in the pump menu (Settings/External interfaces/Wilo Net settings). All other
subscribers should not have activated termination.
All bus subscribers must be assigned an individual address (Wilo Net ID). This address is
set in the pump menu (Settings/External interfaces/Wilo Net settings) of the respective
pump.
In order to establish the Wilo Net connection, the three H, L, GND terminals must be
wired with a communication cable from pump to pump. Use shielded cables for cables
≥ 2 m.
Connect incoming and outgoing cables in one terminal. They must have double ferrules
for this purpose.
NOTICE
See section 10.6 "Application and function of the Wilo Net interface [} 195]"
An integrated collective fault signal is applied at the SSM terminals as a potential-free
changeover contact.
Contact load:
▪ Permitted minimum: SELV 12 V AC / DC, 10 mA
▪ Permitted maximum: 250 V AC, 1 A, AC1 / 30 V DC, 1 A
