Laying the cables
– Example 3: Connecting cable to earth
Strip 5 mm of insulation off cable
Use Ø 6 mm claw
cable lug with crimp connection (see ✎ H ➁).
Crimp cable lug onto cable end using crimping pliers
Bolt
cable lug onto an original earthing point (see ✎ H ➃).
– Example 4: Fitting cable with flat plug
Strip 5 mm of insulation off cable (see ✎ I ➀).
Use suitable plug with crimp connection (e.g. flat plug) (see ✎ I ➁).
Crimp cable lug onto cable end using crimping pliers
If necessary, use plug connection with insulator
Electricial connection of the receiver
Caution! Before working on the vehicle electrics, always
disconnect the negative terminal to avoid the risk of short circuits.
On vehicles with a supplementary battery, also disconnect the
negative terminal of that battery, too
Connect the receiver according to the following connection diagram
(see✎ J ➀), connector assignment diagram
(see✎ J ➁) and the circuit diagram (see✎ J ➂ + ➃).
By connecting to the direction indicators (blinkers), these flash once or
twice.

Diagram Door switch (+) positive switching (see✎ J ➃)
Connecting on the central locking
Nearly all central locking systems are electrically controlled.
In case of central locking systems that have no servo motor in the driver's
door (which can be seen from the fact that the driver's door cannot be
locked and unlocked from the passenger side), a servo motor has to be
retrofitted in the driver's door. The WAECO servo motor, Art. No. ML-11,
can be used for this purpose. This must be connected according to circuit
diagram No. 1 (see✎ K ➀).
(see ✎ H ➀).
(see ✎ H ➂).
(see ✎ I ➂).
(see ✎ I ➃).
