Alarm Zones Configuration

Type of detectors connected to the zone
The alarm Zones in the system can work with detectors operating as «Normally Closed» (N.C.) and/or
«Normally Open» (N.O.) mode.
The detectors supplied with the Kits are Normally Closed (N.C.) type, so the alarm zones in the system are
configured to work with N.C. detectors.
If using N.O. type detectors, it is necessary to configure the corresponding alarm Zone in N.O. mode.
In the same zone, you may have as many sensors of the same type (Normally Open connected in parallel,
Normally Closed connected in series) as you wish.
IMPORTANT:
Do not install NC and NO type detectors in the same Zone.

Alarm Zone Timings

Each Zone can function in «Instant» or «Timed» mode:
- Instant Mode: If the system is armed, it sets off an alarm associated with the zone, (generating the
corresponding alarm alerts) at the moment when one of the sensors in the zone detects activity.
Detection precision is 30 ms.
- Timed Mode: If the system is armed, it sets off an alarm associated with the zone, (generating the
corresponding alarm alerts) after activity has been detected in the zone uninterrupted during the time
programmed (between 1 and 127 seconds or minutes).
To configure the operational mode and timing of each zone, you must use the monitor keypad to
enter the following code sequence:
KEY SEQUENCE:
Parameters:
- Master Code: 1234
- AB: A-B keys
- Zone Number: 1, 2, 3 o 4
- Function Mode:
- 0 : Normally Open
- 1: Normally Closed
- Timing:
- 000 : Instant
- 001...127
-Time:
- * : Seconds
- # : Minutes

Examples:
1234 AB 1 000 0 *
Zone 1 will be normally open type. It is timed to go off instantly.
1234 AB 2 0 060 *
Zone 2 will be normally open type. It is timed to go off with a delay when sensor activity is
detected for 60 seconds.
1234A B 3 1 001 #
Zone 3 will be normally closed type. It is timed to go off with delay when sensor activity is
detected for 1 minute.
