53. Never use guards to lift or transport items.
54. Ensure that the bandsaw blade guards are
used and correctly adjusted.
55. Keep your hands a safety distance away from
the bandsaw blade. Use a push stick for nar-
row cuts.
56. When the push stick is not being used, keep it
in the holder provided on the machine.
57. Follow the instructions for adjusting the blade
tension and for guiding the blade with the use
of the supplied aids.
58. Always be attentive when using the ma-
chine so that you notice hazards early on
and can react to them. Timely intervention
can prevent serious injuries and material da-
mage.
59. Always wear gloves when handling the
saw blade or rough materials.
60. If problems occur, switch off the machine
and isolate it from the power supply. If
necessary, have the machine repaired by a
qualifi ed expert before you use it again.
