■ Remove air piston rod [# 29629].
Installing the air piston, air piston spring and air micrometer
■ Insert air piston rod [# 29629] into correct position.
■ Grease air piston with air piston spring [1-5] and air micrometer with
SATA gun grease (# 48173) and insert.
■ Press air micrometer into gun body.
■ Screw locking screw [1-6] into gun body.
After assembly, set the material flow rate as instructed in Chapter 8.2.
9.5. Replacing the Sealing (air side)
Replacement is necessary if air escapes underneath the trigger.
Removing the seal
■ Loosen counter nut.
■ Unscrew adjustment screw [1-4] with counter nut and remove from gun
body.
■ Remove spring and paint needle.
■ Remove trigger [1-12] (see 9.1).
■ Unscrew locking screw [1-6] and remove from gun body.
■ Pull air micrometer [1-5] out of gun body.
■ Remove air piston with air piston spring.
■ Remove air piston rod [# 29629].
■ Use universal wrench to unscrew stuffing box [# 3749] and remove
from gun body.
■ Pull seal [# 422] out of gun body.
Installing the seal
■ Insert seal into gun body [# 422].
■ Use universal wrench to thread stuffing box [# 3749] and into gun
body.
■ Insert air piston rod into correct position.
■ Grease air piston with air piston spring [10-3] and air micrometer with
SATA gun grease (# 48173) and insert.
■ Press air micrometer into gun body.
■ Screw in locking screw.
■ Assemble the nozzle set (see 9.1).
■ Insert spring and paint needle.
■ Screw adjustment screw [1-4] with counter nut into gun body.
After assembly, set the material flow rate as instructed in Chapter 8.2.
