8- MACHINE TRANSPORT (FIG.2)
The machine is delivered packed on a pallet. In these conditions it is
handled by fork lift truck.
Once the packing has been removed the machine can be hoisted using
a winch, removing the water tank and securing the tie rod in the prear-
ranged point as in fi gure 2.
Hoisting operations must be carried out by skilled personnel using su-
itable devices.
Always set the machine on a horizontal surface; engage the parking
brake; remove the hoisting hooks.
In the workplace, movement from one point to another of the site must
be carried out only pushing by hand, with the engine off and with the disk
in the maximum height position.
9- MACHINE STORAGE
Store the machine in closed environments where particular precautions
are not required except routine checks to keep it in good condition.
In any case, the cutting disk must be removed from the machine and the
fuel tank and cooling water reservoir must be drained and well closed.
10- CUTTING DISK REMOVAL AND REFITTING (FIG.3)
Engage the parking brake.
WARNING: on the right-hand side of the machine (with respect
to the operator) the shaft, thus the nut, have a left threading. There-
fore, to slacken the nut it needs to be turned clockwise.
Use the lifting hand-wheel to take the disk to the maximum height. Lo-
osen the screw Fig.3 Ref.1, lift the guard of the cutting disk and loosen
the nut Ref.2 with the wrench CH 32 (included in the supply).
After slackening and removing the nut, remove the outer fl ange and
cutting disk.
Centre the new disk on the shaft and engage the blade drive hole in the
inner fl ange pin, refi t the outer fl ange checking that the inner fl ange pin
is centred with the blade drive hole. Tighten the nut using wrench CH 32
Lower the disk guard and tighten the eyebolt Ref.1
WARNING: an incorrectly fi tted disk or loose tightening can
cause serious harm to the machine and to persons.
Only use disks in perfect condition.
Only use disks suitable for the machine speed and the type
of surface to be cut (see table paragraph 19). In particular you are
recommended not to use disks with a maximum operating speed
below the rotation speed of the machine disk carrier shaft.

11- BELT TENSIONING (FIG.4)
Correct tensioning of the drive belts between the engine and disk
shaft ensures long life of the belts and prevents inconvenience to the
other drive components. Belts that are not taut enough can slip without
transmitting the complete power and wearing quickly, whereas belts
that are too taut overload the supports and shafts and are themselves
subject to breakage.
To adjust the belt tension, proceed as follows:
position the machine on a raised surface (work bench) and block the
parking brake;
remove the belt protective guard;
Slightly loosen the screw Ref.1;
Loosen the nut Ref.2;
Tighten or loosen the screw Ref.3 in order to fi nd the right tension, then
tighten the nut Ref.2 and fi nally the screw Ref.1;

12- BELT REPLACEMENT

When needing to change the belt, make sure those belt of the same
type and length as the original ones are used. Position the machine on a
raised surface (work bench) and block the parking brake;
fully loosen the belt operating on the screws and on the nut as described
in the BELT TENSIONING paragraph 11 Fig.4
