Parking
Get off from the left side of the vehicle
and take out the side stand.
• Always park the motorcycle on flat
surfaces and where it will not obstruct
traffic. The vehicle may fall if parked
on an uneven or fragile surface.
• Lock the steering and remove the
key.
• Make sure that the steering is proper-
ly blocked.
Parking tips
Exposure to the sun's rays, producing a
good deal of heat in some cases, may
damage instruments or paintwork and
plastic. Small things may avoid this prob-
lem:
• If possible, do not park the vehicle in
direct sunlight.
• If necessary, when the vehicle is
parked in the sunshine, cover the
instruments with a cloth to protect
against the sun's rays.
RUNNING IN
RUNNING IN THE VEHICLE
The running in period is very important
for the reliability and duration of the vehi-
cle. Follow the instructions
with care:
• During the first 1500 km, never re-
quest the maximum performance
from the engine; do not allow it to run
for long periods over 6000 rpm; avoid
long distances at high speeds and
uphill, above all with a passenger.
• From 1000 to 1500 km, do not run the
engine above 8000 rpm for long peri-
ods.
• After 1500 km, gradually increase
speeds to arrive at maximum perfor-
mance.
