Important notice - so your guarantee does not
expire:
• Always keep the air-intake clean.
• Never use a longer line than the blade- re-
tainer allows to use.
• Only use original monofilaments with 1,5 mm
ø and original spools.
• Never press the cutting head on the ground,
when doing this you brake the turned-on
motor.
• Never hit the cutting head on a hard under-
ground, otherwise you will unbalance and
damage the motor shaft.

4. Application

The machine is exclusively intended for cutting decorative
lawn, i.e. lawn edges. Any other use or use going beyond
that, such as the cutting of brushwood and hedges or large
areas of lawn, is considered improper use. The manufac-
turer / supplier is not liable for damages resulting from
such use. The risk is borne by the user alone. A proper
utilisation also includes the observance of the operating
manual and the compliance with the conditions of control
and maintenance.
Keep the operating manual always at hand near the place
the machine is used!
Residual risks
Even if the device is used properly, a residual risk that
cannot be eliminated persists. Due to the type and
design of the device, the following potential dangers
may result:
- Contact with the unprotected part of the thread cutting
equipment (cutting injury)
- Contact with cutting thread while in operation (cutting)
- Contact with ejecting parts of the cutting thread, cut
material, and other materials (cutting injury, blunt
injury)
- Loss of hearing if required ear protection is not used
while working (hearing loss)
- Contact with electric current due to a defective or cut
supply cable (electric shock)
- Harmful emissions of cut material and cut particles.
If you do not observe the instructions contained in the
instruction manual, other residual risks may result due
to improper use.
The product is intended for persons who are 14 years
old and up. If the product is used by children who are
8 years old and up or by persons with limited physi-
cal, sensory, or mental capabilities or a lack of experi-
ence and knowledge, then they must be supervised or
informed regarding how to use the device safely and
to understand the resulting dangers that are involved.
Children are not permitted to play with the device. Clean-
ing and maintenance may not be completed by children
without supervision.

Children should be supervised so that they do not play
with the device.
However, some residual risks remain despite the spe-
cific safety measures, safety instructions, and additional
safety regulations indicated in the operating manual,
e.g. commissioning the product unintentionally. If you do
not observe the instructions contained in the instruction
manual, other residual risks may result due to improper
use.

Prolonged use of a tool will subject the user to vibration
and shocks that could lead to Raynaud's syndrome or
Carpal tunnel syndrome.
This condition reduces the ability of the hand to sense
and regulate temperature, causes numbness and a sen-
sation of heat, and can cause damage to the nervous
and circulatory systems and to necrosis.
Not all factors that lead to Raynaud's syndrome are
known, but cold water, smoking, and illnesses that
impact the blood vessels and the circulatory system
and severe or long-lasting exposure to vibrations are
known to be factors that contribute to the development of
Raynaud's syndrome. Observe the following instructions
to reduce the risk of Raynaud's syndrome and Carpal
tunnel syndrome:

5. Before operation

Assembly of the protection cover (Fig. 2, 3 + 4)
Place the protective cover (9) into the receptacle on the
housing (6) so that the 2 brackets on the protective cover
fit into the appropriate receptacles (fig. 2). Then attach
the protective cover to the housing using the screw
provided (fig. 3).
Attention: After assembly, the protection cover will
permanently remain mounted to the trimmer. The device
must never be operated without protection cover!
Installing the additional handle (fig. 5, 6 and 7)
Insert the additional handle (2) into the handle bracket
and tighten the screw. Move the bracket to the desired
height and set the handle into one of the 5 possible posi-
tions. Then tighten the screw.
