Cleaning Spillovers
➤ For spillovers that occur while cooking, turn off the stove and wipe the
area surrounding the hot zone with a clean paper towel.
Spillovers in the hot zones should be treated as burned-on spillovers
(see chapter "Burned-on spillovers" on page 15).
Cleaning melted substances or spilt foods with a high sugar content
(preserves, ketchup, tomatosauce, etc.)
➤ Remove the spillover immediately with a razor scraper while the element
is still hot: Scrape the spilt or melted material from the hot zone onto a cold
area of the stovetop.
➤ Turn off the burners.
➤ Allow the stove to cool (LED "Surface Hot" must be out).
➤ Clean according to chapter "Normal care" on page 14.

Burned-on spillovers
➤ Remove the burned-on substance with a single-edged razor scraper.
Hold the scraper at an angle of approx. 30° to the stovetop and scrape off
the substance.
➤ Complete the cleanup according to chapter "Normal care" on page 14.

Removing metal marks
It may happen, particularly if you use thin gauge metal cookware, that there
will be marks on your stovetop, resulting from metal rub-off. These marks
often appear as scratches.
➤ Remove metal marks using the procedure according to chapter "Cleaning
Spillovers" on page 15.
➤ For unusually stubborn marks, use cleaning cream in conjunction with a
razor scraper.
