Tips: You can move the tamper up and
down, turn around or push it toward
the side or corner of the jar to help
ingredients circulate.
Note:
•
When making nut butter or oil-
based food, do not process for more
than one minute after the mixture
starts to circulate in jar. Processing
for longer periods can cause
dangerous overheating.
•
To avoid overheating during
blending, do not use the tamper for
more than 30 consecutive seconds.
8 Use the dome
(HR3868 only)

You can use the dome to reduce the
noise during blending.
Follow the steps to assemble and use
the dome as indicated in fig. 5.
9 Cleaning (Fig. 6)
Warning
•
Before you clean the appliance, unplug it.
•
Refer to Fig. 6 for information on cleaning the
parts with water, dishwashing machine and/or
moist cloth.
•
Do not remove the rubber pad on top of the
motor unit.
Caution
•
Make sure that the cutting edges of the blades
do not come into contact with hard objects.
This may cause the blade to get blunt.
•
The cutting edges are sharp. Be careful when
you clean the blade units.

Clean the motor and dome unit
with a moist cloth.

For hand washing, clean blender
jar, measuring cup, lid, and tamper
in lukewarm with some washing-
up liquid. Clean the blade by a
dishwashing utensil with a handle
to avoid direct contact with the
blade. Thoroughly rinse and air dry
all parts. For dishwasher, blender
jar, measuring cup, lid, and tamper
are dishwasher safe.

Store the appliance upright with
the lid on the blender jar and
accessories in a dry place after
cleaning.
•
Never directly spray the motor
unit with water or other liquids.
Quick cleaning
Follow the steps below to clean the
blender jar easier.

Pour lukewarm water (not more
than 35 oz and a few drops of
washing-up liquid into the blender
jar.

Insert the measuring cup into the
lid and turn clockwise to lock. Place
the lid onto blender jar and press
down firmly. Make sure the four
sides of lid are placed properly onto
the blender jar.

Put the plug in wall outlet and
switch on the blender.

Turn the knob to speed 10. Let the
blender run for 30 seconds or until
the blender jar is clean.

After use, switch off the blender and
then unplug the appliance.

Remove the blender jar and rinse it
with clean water.

Store the appliance and accessories
in a dry place after cleaning.
