UNPACKING
Carefully unpack the compound miter saw
and all its parts, and compare against the list
below.
Do not discard the carton or any packaging
until the compound miter saw is completely
assembled.
ADJUSTMENTS
ASSEMBLY
INSTALLING THE MITER HANDLE (Fig. 2)
1. Carefully thread the
miter handle (1) into
the hole located at
the front of the miter
table.
2. Tighten.
3. Loosen handle 1/4 turn or more to unlock
the miter table from its set position. To lock,
tighten the handle.
SAW BLADE WRENCH
(Fig. 3)
1. Store the blade
wrench (1) in the slot
at the rear of the saw
base to prevent loss.
INSTALLING EXTENSION LEGS AND WORKPIECE
STOP (Figs. 3-4)
The extension wings support long workpieces
during cutting. The adjustable stop bracket
attaches to a rail of a wing. The stop bracket
can be raised or lowered and moved toward
or away from the saw as needed. The exten-
sion wings and stop bracket should be installed
prior to mounting the saw on a workbench or
table. See the Operation section of this manual
for information on mounting the saw.
