Adjusting the Cable Length (only 7221 and 7222)
The spring balancers are delivered with a cable (10) providing excess length. Before putting the balancer into ser-
vice, it is mandatory to set the desired additional cable length.
1. To lengthen the cable (10), pull it through the cable wedge (7), thereby making sure that the minimum distance of
100 mm between the cable wedge (7) and the cable clamp (9) is maintained at all times (see illustration).
2. Following adjustment, the supplied ferrule (8) must be firmly pressed in place on the cable.
3. Cut off the cable end protruding beyond the ferrule (8).
Adjusting the Cable Stop Buffer
ATTENTION !
!
Never exceed the maximum permissible cable extension length:
• 7200 : 1,6 m
• 7211/7212 : 2,5 m
• 7221/7222 : 3,0 m
1. Attach an appropriate load and pull out the cable to
the desired position.
2. Loosen the screws on the cable clamp (9), set the
desired cable length, then retighten the screws.
3. The rubber buffer (13) can be adjusted manually and
protects both the basic housing and the suspended
load.
