( 24 ) While lightly pre-stressing the spring assembly, hook the
tip 11 into the tightening strap 12 and secure with spring
pin 15! Determine the optimum spring tension. Open the
door halfway. The door must hold in this position without
help. Adjust the spring force by moving the pin in the spring
tightening strap 12 [

Test instruction
All part must be assembled as described in the installation
instructions to assure the functional reliability, durability and

smooth operation of the sectional garage door. If the sectional
garage door door still does not function properly, please check
the following points:
( 31 ) Are the side angular frames, frame panel and horizontal
tracks exactly aligned horizontally, vertically and diagonal-
; adjust
ly, and securely fastened? [
( 32 ) Are all screw connections tight?

( 33 ) Have the transitions between the vertical tracks in the
angular frame and the 89° arc been adjusted (see section
7)?
( 34 ) Check the spring tension: Open the door halfway. The door
must hold in this position without help.
( 35 ) If the door sinks noticeably, increase the spring tension as
described in section 24.

( 36 ) If the door rises noticeably, lower the spring tension as
described in section 24.
( 37 ) Are the spring pins inserted in the lower spring mounts and
in the tightening strap?
( 38 ) Rollers: Can all the rollers be easily turned by hand when
the door is closed (see sections 18+29)?
( 39 ) Has the upper roller been correctly adjusted (see sections
29a,b)?
( 40 ) When the door is open, do all roller axes extend the same
distance out of their holders?  Diagonal testing
( 41 ) Are the double cables positioned exactly in their guides,
and are not twisted?
( 42 ) Doors with operators: Has the locking mechanism been
dismantled?

Dismantling instructions for sectional garage
doors
iso20-4 / iso45-4 with vertical tension spring
- Dismantling by qualified installers only -
Please read these instructions carefully prior to disas-
sembly.
The following tools are required for dismantling:
SW 7, 10 and 13 open-end or socket wrench, reversible ratchet
with extension and SW 7, 10 and 13 spanners, Phillips screw-
driver size 2, T30 screwdriver bit, at least 2 screw clamps,
possibly a hammer.
( 43 ) Removing the tension springs
Caution: Wear suitable personal protective equipment
when removing the tension springs and guard the door
leaf against falling down!
