 Do not add charcoal starter fluid or charcoal impregnated
with charcoal lighter fluid to hot or warm charcoal.
 Use extreme caution with lighter fluid and other volatile
fuels. Do not add fuel to an already lit fire; the flame can

 If using charcoal starter fluid, remove any fluid that may
have drained through the bottom vents before lighting
the charcoal. Cap starter fluid after use, and place a safe

 Do not use grill in high winds.
 Keep the grill on a secure, level surface at all times and
do not use the grill near combustible material.
 Never lean over an open grill or place hands or fingers
on hot surfaces.

grill to see if they are hot.
 Always wear heat-resistant mitts or gloves and use
long-handled utensils while cooking, adjusting air vents,
adding charcoal, and handling the thermometer or hood.
 Never leave a grill unattended, even for a minute.
 Extinguish coals when finished cooking. Close all vents
after replacing the hood.
 Dispose of hot coals properly. Douse them with plenty of
water and stir to ensure that the fire is out. Never place
coals in plastic, paper or wooden containers.
